University Vintage (UV) is a vintage clothing shop located in Ann Arbor, Michigan (324 S State St). We are a family business, run by two brothers, Jared and Shane Perlin. Our store opened in the fall of 2023, but UV started long before. It first began as a side hustle by two friends while they were students at the University of Michigan. It was not until we had success with pop-up shops and the online business that we realized we could turn the side hustle into a full fledged business.

We do not make any product ourselves. The items you see online and in the store were originally manufactured in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. We source all of our products locally and nationally. Michigan and Michigan State clothing is our specialty, but we sell all types of vintage clothing. If you have items to sell, we do buy! Owners: Shane graduated from Michigan in 2020, while Jared graduated from Michigan State in 2022 and graduated with a Masters from Michigan in 2023.
