We are creating Unknown Band – an app for discovering new music.

It works simply: first you listen, then you rate, and only then do you see who is playing. No names, no photos, no monthly listener numbers. Music takes precedence.

We created Unknown Band because we are musicians and we see a need to change the way we discover songs today. Algorithms increasingly serve up what we already know. With this app, we want to bring back the element of surprise, focus on the music, level the playing field, and connect artists with listeners.

For users, it's a fresher and more attentive discovery experience. For artists, it's an opportunity to reach audiences without the advantage of budget or recognition.

Follow our profile and stay up to date with how we're doing!
