Aaron Smith

Aaron Smith has a diverse work experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mathematics. Aaron co-founded Unlearn.AI in 2017 and currently holds the position of Founder. Aaron also serves as the Head of Machine Learning at Unlearn.AI since January 2019.

Prior to their role at Unlearn.AI, Aaron worked at Leap Motion from 2013 to 2017. At Leap Motion, they held various positions including Engineering Manager - Tracking from January 2016 to March 2017, Mathematician/Algorithm Engineer, Tech Lead from March 2015 to January 2016, and Mathematician/Algorithm Engineer from July 2013 to March 2015.

Before joining Leap Motion, Aaron worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Pure Mathematics at the University of Waterloo from August 2011 to June 2013.

Aaron Smith completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mathematics from Penn State University from 2004 to 2006. Aaron also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with distinction in Mathematics and Physics from Penn State University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their education in the United States, Aaron also attended the Independent University of Moscow, although specific details such as the degree obtained and field of study are not provided.
