Amit Sinha

Amit Sinha has extensive work experience in the corporate world. Amit started their career in 2005 as a Consultant at Keane Consulting Group, where they worked on Business Transformation Services with a focus on Operations Improvement and IT Portfolio Analysis. In 2006, they joined Bharti Airtel as a Sr. Manager in Strategy & Business Development, and was responsible for business development initiatives. In 2007, they moved to One97 Communications Limited as Vice President of Business Planning and People. In 2009, Amit was a Visiting Faculty at FORE School of Management, New Delhi, where they lectured on Strategic Management. In 2010, they were a Co-founder of Akshamaala and a Guest Faculty at IMT. In 2015, they joined Paytm as Chief Financial Officer & Head of HR. In 2017, they were appointed Chief Operating Officer & Board Member of Paytm Mall and led two rounds of independent funding to make it the fastest unicorn in India of its time. In 2019, Amit became Co-Founder of Unnati, a mission to convert farmers into Farmer Entrepreneurs through the use of modern technologies, and Business head - insurance of Paytm.

Amit Sinha completed their I. Sc. in Science from Science College, Patna between 1993 and 1995. Amit then went on to pursue a B.Tech. in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad from 1996 to 2000. Finally, they obtained a PGDM in Marketing and Systems from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2003.
