Samarth Pathak

Samarth Pathak is currently the South Asia advocacy and communications lead at UNODC, focusing on education, security, governance, and inclusion across six countries. With over 15 years of experience in public policy, strategic communications, and program design, they have successfully bridged local insights with regional strategies, advocating for socio-political developments and youth empowerment. Prior roles included senior news producer at Reuters Television, communications manager at The Energy and Resources Institute, and thematic network coordinator at the Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Samarth has also led initiatives such as the award-winning Lockdown Learners series and was involved in diplomatic dialogues and SDG coordination with international think tanks before joining the UN. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government.
