Alison Bates

Alison Bates is a seasoned digital transformation leader with extensive experience in application performance, strategy, and governance. Currently serving as the Portfolio and Applications Lead at Principles for Responsible Investment since April 2024, Alison oversees digital application architecture and internal applications, notably managing CRM and website technology teams. Prior roles include Global Engineering Lead at Avis Budget Group, where Alison led 17 product teams in a multi-billion dollar organization, and held various directorships focusing on application performance and delivery. Earlier career experience includes project management and software engineering roles at Yell, Rockwell Collins, and Axxia Systems. Alison holds a BSc Hons in Software Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.
