Chris Gooch

Chris Gooch has a diverse work experience in the visual effects industry. Chris is currently serving as the Head of Compositing at Untold Studios since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at DNEG from 2016 to 2023, holding various roles including Head of 2D - Animation, Compositing Supervisor - Animation, 2D Supervisor - Film, and 2D Sequence Supervisor - Film. From 2012 to 2016, Gooch worked as a Lead Compositor at MPC. Chris also gained experience as a Lead Compositor at Jellyfish Pictures from 2010 to 2012. Gooch served as a Lighting TD at MPC and Commercials Director at Rubber Studios in 2010 and 2009 respectively. Chris worked as a Lead VFX Artist at Red Vision from 2009 to 2010 and as a Commercials Director at Bermuda Shorts from 2008 to 2009. Gooch started their career as a Freelance Animation Director and subsequently worked as a VFX Artist at Red Vision in 2008.

Chris Gooch completed their education in a chronological order. From 2000 to 2003, they attended Loughborough University where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) degree in Fine Art. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they then enrolled at the National Film & Television School to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Animation Direction.
