Tim Smith

Tim Smith is the VP and Chief Privacy Officer at Unum since 1996. Tim specializes in program development, assessing privacy risks, data monetization, strategic leadership, and managing data related to acquisitions and partnerships. In addition, Tim is also the Vice President of Government Affairs responsible for state lobbying strategy and activities, as well as overseeing the company’s reputation with state legislators. Tim previously worked as a Legislative Assistant at the US House of Representatives, and holds a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
