John Ohlinger has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. John started their career in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a Sergeant of Marines for six years, where they held several roles within the Light Armored Reconnaissance community. After leaving the military, they joined HumanGeo as a Geospatial Analyst and eventually became a Capture Manager. John then worked at DigitalGlobe as a Business Development Specialist before joining BlackSky as a Manager of Commercial Programs and later as the Director of Commercial Sales. Currently, John is the Head Of Business Development at UP42 and is responsible for leading the sales team.
John Ohlinger obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Science and Remote Sensing from James Madison University, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. John later pursued a Master's Degree in Management of Information Technology at the UVA McIntire School of Commerce from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, John has received certifications as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in June 2016, an SAFe Agelist (Scaled Agile Framework) in 2015, and an Amazon Web Service Business Professional certification.
