Tyson Malik

Tyson Malik has extensive work experience in the field of digital infrastructure, DevOps, and engineering. Tyson currently holds the position of Sr. Director of Digital Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering at Upbound Group since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Rent-A-Center, where they held various roles including Sr. Director of Digital Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering from November 2021, Director of DevOps/Cloud & AIOps from March 2020 to November 2021, Sr. Manager of DevOps/Cloud, Release & Middleware Engineering from May 2018 to March 2020, Sr. Manager of DevOps - Middleware Engineering from March 2016 to May 2018, Manager of Middleware Engineering from March 2014 to March 2016, and Middleware Engineer from March 2012 to March 2014. Before joining Rent-A-Center, Tyson worked at Nokia as a Senior Release Engineer from 2006 to 2010 and as a Software Test Engineer from 2004 to 2006. Tyson also worked at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise as an HW/SW Diagnostic Test Engineer from 2000 to 2002. Throughout their career, Tyson has demonstrated expertise in automation, security, infrastructure as code, release engineering, middleware engineering, and software testing.

Tyson Malik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Kansas. Tyson attended the university from 1997 to 2000.
