David Murphy

David Murphy has extensive work experience in the technology industry. David currently holds the position of Principal Solutions Engineer at Upbound, a role they started in December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Red Hat for many years, where they held various roles. From September 2019 to December 2022, they served as the Principal Solution Architect and chief architect in Ireland, collaborating with customers, partners, and the open-source community to enhance technology. Before that, they worked as a Sr Solution Architect from June 2017 to August 2019. As a Sr Technical Account Manager from July 2015 to July 2017, they provided personalized support and technical updates to a dedicated customer group. Additionally, they worked as a Solution Architect from July 2013 to July 2015 and as a Consultant from September 2007 to July 2013, demonstrating their versatility and expertise in various roles.

David Murphy obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from William & Mary in 2007. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the following qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in August 2022, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) from Red Hat in September 2022, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes from Red Hat in October 2022, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) from Red Hat in April 2022, Red Hat Certified Enterprise Application Developer from Red Hat in September 2018, RHCE from Red Hat in July 2018, RHCSA from Red Hat in November 2015, and Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration from Red Hat in December 2015.
