Jared Watts

Jared Watts has an extensive work experience in various companies and projects. Jared began their career at Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) II in 2005 and worked there until 2009. In 2009, they joined Symform as a Senior Software Engineer and stayed with the company until 2014. From 2014 to 2018, Jared worked at Quantum as a Principal Software Engineer. In 2016, they became a Co-Creator, Maintainer, and Steering Committee Member at Rook. In 2018, Jared joined Upbound as a Founding Engineer and also became a Co-Creator, Maintainer, and Steering Committee Member of the Crossplane project later that same year. Overall, they have gained valuable experience and expertise in software engineering and project management throughout their career.

Jared Watts completed their high school education from 1997 to 2000 at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, from 2000 to 2004.
