David Dean

David Dean has a diverse work experience, which starts with their current role as the Director of People Relations & Culture at Upbring since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Employee Engagement and Culture and Culture and Engagement Manager at the same company. Before joining Upbring, David worked as the Engagement and Inclusion Manager at Upbring.

Before transitioning to the corporate sector, David worked as an Insurance Specialist at State Farm® from May 2017 to September 2018.

David also has an extensive military background. David served as the Operations NCOIC (Director of Operations) at 1-7 Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division from February 2016 to April 2017. Prior to this, they were the First Sergeant (Director of Operations) at HHB and C Btry 1-7 FA, 2 ABCT, 1st Infantry Division from May 2014 to February 2016.

Additionally, David served as the First Sergeant (Director of Operations) at A BTRY, 2-321 FAR (ABN), 4th ABCT, 82nd Airborne Division from February 2013 to May 2014, and Brigade FECC Operations NCOIC (Director of Operations) at HHC, 4th ABCT, 82nd Airborne Division from February 2011 to February 2013.

David Dean completed their education in the field of Applied Sciences at Central Texas College from 2008 to 2011. David obtained additional certifications as an Organizational Development Coach from Symbiosis Coaching in January 2022, an Employee Engagement Specialist from The Employee Engagement Group in August 2020, and a Life & Health Insurance License from the State of Kansas in February 2017. David also obtained a Property & Casualty Insurance License from the State of Kansas in December 2016. In addition, they have a Master Resilience Trainer certification from the University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained in August 2010, and completed the Equal Opportunity Leaders Course provided by the US Army in March 2010.
