Bailey Lowenthal

Bailey Lowenthal has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as a Highly Effective Intensive Reading Teacher for the Palm Beach County School District in 2010. Bailey then served as a Literacy AmeriCorps member and Graduation Coach for Americorps in 2009. In 2014, Bailey was the Founding IB DP Coordinator and Founding Director of School Counseling for DCI - District of Columbia International School. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Founder & Executive Director of CatalyzED and Founding Partner and Investment Committee Member of Social Venture Partners. During this time, they also served as a Program Design Specialist for schoolhouse.world. Bailey is currently a Senior Program Manager for UPchieve and will transition to an EdTech Fellow for On Deck in 2022.

Bailey Lowenthal received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Designing Childhood & Education from New York University in 2009. In 2012, they earned a Master of Education in Prevention Science and Practice from Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2014, they completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Lowenthal also holds Licenses from the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and The Florida Department of Education as a School Counselor.
