Arno Schäfer

Arno Schäfer is the CEO of UpCloud and the founder and CEO of Capitarno GmbH, which provides buy‑and‑build advisory for private equity and engages in M&A, interim‑CEO leadership, and turnaround management. They previously led VONQ as CEO (2021–2024) and served as CEO or interim CEO at gutefrage (2020–2021; exit January 2021), Deutsche Tele Medien GmbH (2018–2019), and MediaCom Interaction GmbH (2005–2010). Earlier roles include Managing Director and Shareholder at MindMatics AG (2000–2005), CEO at Digital Response AG (2012–2013), and CEO at Platform161 (2013–2016) with Advisory Board service at Platform161 (2017–2018). Schäfer earned a Dipl.-Kfm. at the University of Mannheim (1990–1996) and an MBA from Portland State University (1994–1995).
