Diego Alonso

Diego Alonso is a seasoned academic and researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, holding the position of Profesor Titular de Universidad since 2010 and serving as an associate professor since December 2017. Notable contributions include coordination of the H2020 project MERLIN and serving as the main researcher for H2020 projects UNICORN and EU-XCEL. In addition to academic roles, Diego Alonso co-founded Cloud Incubator HUB, a business incubator aimed at fostering startups in Information Technology and Communications. Prior experiences include project work on the H2020 Startup Scaleup initiative and earlier academic positions at both Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and Universidad de Murcia. Diego Alonso earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and holds an Ingeniería degree from Universitat Politècnica de València.
