Dan B.

Dan B. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Dan began their career in 2004 in the US Army, where they served as a Military Squad Leader and later as a Criminal Investigator/Military Police Officer until 2015. Following their military service, Dan worked at KSUF Housing Management, LLC. as an Information Technology Specialist, providing network support and maintaining connectivity for on-campus housing students and staff.

In 2015, Dan joined ICF as a Web Metrics Intern, where they analyzed metrics collected from CDC websites and compiled reports for stakeholders. Dan then moved on to State Farm® in 2017, working as an IT Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst. In this role, they supported risk management and compliance activities, developed procedures, and conducted control testing for risk mitigation.

Most recently, since 2019, Dan has been at uPerform as a Security Analyst and now as an Information Technology Security Manager. Dan'sresponsibilities include ensuring the security of IT systems and data, analyzing security threats, and implementing measures to protect sensitive information.

Dan B. attended Kennesaw State University from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology specializing in Information Assurance and Security. In addition to their degree, they have also earned several certifications, including the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019, the Security+ CE from CompTIA in April 2019, and the AWS Certified Security – Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022.
