Ramin B.

Ramin B. has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Ramin is currently the Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at UPGUYS since January 2020. Additionally, they are working as a Mentor at the USC Marshall Greif Incubator at the University of Southern California, a role they took up in September 2020.

In the past, Ramin has served as the General Partner at 7 Gate Ventures from January 2016 to February 2020. Before that, they founded and served as the CEO of Semantile, a Vancouver-based technology startup from July 2012 to December 2015. Prior to Semantile, they co-founded and served as the CEO of SideBuy Technologies Inc., a Vancouver-based technology start-up, from June 2011 to October 2015.

Ramin also has experience as an Independent Consultant in Internet Marketing Strategy from January 2001 to July 2011. Ramin'searlier experience includes working as the Marketing and Sales Manager at Dansazan Livestock Co. from September 1995 to January 2000. In this role, they successfully implemented strategies to boost sales and established new sales platforms and relationships.

Ramin B. began their education at Sadr High School, where they completed their high school education from 1987 to 1991. Ramin then went on to attend Sharif University of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1991 to 1995. After several years, Ramin returned to education and enrolled at the University of British Columbia, where they completed a Certificate in Integrated Marketing Strategy from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, Ramin simultaneously pursued multiple educational opportunities. Ramin obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, during the same period, they attended Ashton College, where they earned a Certificate in Certified Financial Planning. Furthermore, Ramin acquired another Certificate in Securities, Capital Markets from the Canadian Securities Institute from 2009 to 2010.
