Rui Silva

Rui Silva (a.k.a Penso) is Uphold’s Chief Design Officer responsible for overseeing all innovation and expanding Uphold’s design and user experience.

Penso has been part of the Uphold story since the beginning. Initially as Head of Applications, connecting Uphold’s platform and vision as a seamless and engaging experience; and later as Executive Vice President, where he designed, implemented and scaled the product development processes, certifying the company was building and delivering world-class products.

Before Uphold, Penso started his career as a developer and designer in 1999, working with international brands such as Comic-Con and having some of his work featured on websites like Smashing Magazine. In 2009, he joined Seegno as a full-stack developer, working with award-winning digital marketing agencies to build applications used around the world.
