Sandro MacHado

Sandro Machado has extensive experience in the field of engineering and development. Sandro has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Researcher at Universidade do Minho from July 2011 to December 2012. Sandro then worked as a Mobile and Web Developer at Waveform from January 2013 to June 2013, followed by a role as a Mobile Developer at Cardmobili from July 2013 to February 2015. From March 2015 to September 2015, Sandro worked as a Mobile Developer at Bitreserve HQ, Inc. Sandro then joined Uphold Inc. in 2015 and held several positions, including Lead Mobile Developer from March 2015 to September 2018, Head of Frontend Engineering from September 2018 to the present, VP of Engineering from August 2021 to the present, and currently serves as the SVP Consumer Engineering. Uphold is a global financial services company that has facilitated over $1 billion in transactions since its launch in 2015.

Sandro Machado obtained a degree in Informatics Engineering with a specialization in Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing from Universidade do Minho. Sandro attended from 2005 to 2012.
