UpIllustration is an independent art and design studio founded by illustrator and brand strategist Ula Patoka.

The work sits at the intersection of fine art, cultural memory, and narrative strategy — drawing from Ukrainian visual traditions, nature, symbolism, and the experience of living between places. Every piece is hand-drawn, human-made, and built around meaning rather than trend.

The studio produces fine art prints, silk scarves, editorial and book illustrations, brand illustration, and visual storytelling projects for cultural institutions and creative brands. Ongoing work includes collaborations with cultural organizations, including a board role with the Ukrainian Classical Voice Project (New York).

Ula brings nearly 20 years of brand strategy and marketing experience — working with global companies including MasterCard, Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, and Nestlé — to a practice that treats every image as a form of communication, not decoration.

That background shapes how UpIllustration works: with the rigor of strategic thinking and the voice of an independent artist.

The studio is available for:
— Editorial and book illustration
— Brand illustration and visual identity
— Silk scarf and luxury product design
— Cultural and institutional collaborations
— Exhibition and narrative projects
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Working internationally.
