VP of Demand Generation at UpKeep

Nelson Kim has over 17 years of experience in marketing and demand generation. Nelson most recently held the position of VP of Demand Generation at UpKeep, starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they were the VP of Growth Marketing at UpLift from January 2022 to May 2023. From May 2021 to February 2022, Nelson served as the Head of Growth at Vise.

Before joining UpKeep, Nelson worked at Criteria Corp as the VP of Marketing from December 2017 to May 2021. Nelson was responsible for executive leadership and oversaw various marketing functions such as branding, product marketing, demand generation, and sales enablement.

Prior to that, Nelson served as the VP of Marketing at PatientPop Inc. from July 2015 to November 2017. There, they developed the go-to-market strategy and built a team responsible for branding, content, demand generation, and sales development.

Nelson's earlier experience includes roles such as Director of Demand Generation at Kareo from November 2011 to June 2015, Director of Demand Generation at Everbridge from October 2010 to November 2011, Sr. Online Marketing Manager at Fonality from June 2008 to December 2010, and North American Marketing Manager at EMC, Infra Corporation from June 2007 to June 2008.

Nelson started their career as a Channel Marketing Manager at Sanden International from May 2004 to June 2007, where they created sales and marketing plans and analyzed market trends.

Throughout their career, Nelson has demonstrated expertise in developing marketing strategies, managing demand generation campaigns, branding, and building and leading teams.

Nelson Kim completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Baylor University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. In 2001, they pursued further education and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Finance & Accounting from the Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business, completing the program in 2002.
