Amit Misra

Amit Misra is a seasoned professional in Total Quality Management (TQM) with significant experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Head of TQM at UPL since May 2019, Amit leads a team of 17 in implementing TQM across manufacturing units in India, developing promotional plans, and presenting quarterly progress reports to the Apex Council. Notably, Amit has established the "United TQM Champions League" to motivate and recognize employees and launched an in-house certification program equivalent to Six Sigma yellow belt. Prior to UPL, Amit held multiple positions at JSW Steel from July 2010 to May 2019, including Deputy Manager in Business Excellence and Production In-Charge for lime operations, where Amit drove key initiatives in TQM and successfully commissioned a new production kiln. Amit holds an M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a B.Tech. in Chemical Technology from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur.
