Sohan Bains

Sohan Bains is a seasoned professional in the chemical manufacturing industry, currently serving as Group Head at UPL since September 2019, where responsibilities include leading manufacturing plants and driving cost-reduction initiatives. Previous experience includes serving as D.G.M in the Flourochemicals Business at SRF Limited, where Sohan Bains commenced as Plant Head for the HFC-32 plant and later managed multiple roles covering sales and operations. Sohan Bains also held the position of Manager Production at Indo Baijin Chemicals, managing a significant CS2 project, and was part of the core commissioning team for a Pyridine Plant at Jubilant Life Sciences. Early career experience includes engineering roles in ethyl acetate production and a foundation role as Shift Officer in the Dairy & MMF plant sector. Sohan Bains holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology and a PGDBA in Finance Management from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning.
