Brian Barth

Born in 1968, Brian Barth is a serial entrepreneur and executive who has been in the travel and hospitality industry for over 20 years. Brian is currently the CEO of UpLift, a company that provides data-driven pricing and merchandising solutions to maximize revenues for hotels and resorts worldwide. Prior to their current role, Barth served as the Director of Nor1 from January 2006 to December 2012. Nor1 is the technology leader in upsell solutions and was acquired by Travelzoo in 2012.

From January 2005 to December 2012, Barth was also the Director of Travel Intelligence / Perfect Escapes, which was acquired by Travelzoo in 2012. Perfect Escapes and Travel Intelligence acquired and powered numerous luxury and boutique travel brands including ChicRetreats and Spire. The company also developed the Starfish Hotel Engine, which enabled booking more than 6,000 luxury vacation properties worldwide.

Barth founded SideStep in January 1999 and served as its CEO & Director until December 2007 when the company was acquired by Kayak. SideStep was one of the first online search engines for finding flights, hotels, and rental cars.

Brian Barth has a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
