Anna Stepanova

Anna Stepanova is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in accounting, tax reporting, and compliance. Currently serving as Financial Controller at UPM - The Biofore Company since July 2020, Anna is responsible for complex accounting and business reporting within the Global functions area, including continuous improvement initiatives. Prior to this role, Anna was Team Lead of Tax Reporting Compliance at BNY Mellon, overseeing Poland Tax operations and coordinating the annual tax planning process. Earlier career experience includes positions such as Tax Production Supervisor and Finance Manager at UPM-Kymmene, and Tax Manager at JTI, where Anna managed tax compliance and relationships with governmental authorities while leading teams and coordinating audits. Anna holds a Master's degree in International Economic Relationships from St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance and has pursued additional education at the Institute of Banking in Dublin.
