Joni Väärälä

Joni Väärälä currently serves as Manager of Procure To Pay Analytics, Sourcing BI, and Analytics at UPM - The Biofore Company since December 2023. Previously, Joni held the position of Lead Business Intelligence Developer at Insta, where responsibilities included building and maintaining data integrations and visual analytics. Joni's experience also includes work as an Analytics Consultant at Solita, focusing on data pipelines and analytics project management. Prior to that, Joni was Development Manager at Traficom, aligning project portfolios with strategic goals. Joni has an extensive background at BRP, serving in various roles including Team Leader for Business Intelligence EMEA, where a data-driven culture was fostered to support decision-making. Joni began a career in business analysis at BRP Finland Oy, following earlier experience as an Accountant at Pelti ja Rauta Pousi Oy. Joni Väärälä holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of Oulu.
