Marko Koskela has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Marko started their career as a Lieutenant in the Finnish Army Reserve Officer School before moving on to work as an Office Assistant in the Municipality of Halsua. Marko then served as an Office Manager in The Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest owners of Finland (MTK) in Brussels, Belgium. Marko gained experience in the automotive industry as a Financial Account summer trainee at Volvo Trucks. In 2001, they joined UPM - The Biofore Company, where they held various positions including Trainee, Manager, Financial Control, and Roll-out Team Member, SAP FICO. Marko later took on roles such as Director, Business Control and Vice President, Energy & Pulp Business Group, Business Control, where they played a key role in finance and strategy functions. In 2018, Marko became the Director, Finance and Sourcing, Uruguay Development-project at UPM - The Biofore Company. Throughout their career, Marko has demonstrated their expertise in finance, strategy, business growth, and project management.

Marko Koskela completed their Master's degree in Economics from the University of Vaasa from 1998 to 2000. Before that, they attended Vetelin lukio from 1990 to 1993 for their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates.
