Mika Hanski

Mika Hanski has extensive experience in the maritime and shipping industry, currently serving as a Cargo Care Specialist at UPM-Kymmene since 2006, focusing on marine surveys, stowage planning, and claims handling. Prior to this role, Mika worked as a Vessel Operator at Aspo plc, handling bunker purchasing and vessel operations, and also served as a 2nd Officer on mv Carina 1. A background in sales and trading is evident from the tenure as Sales Manager and Bunker Trader at Steveco Oy. Initial maritime experience includes serving as a Port Agent for the Finnish Defence Forces and Ordinary Seaman for Finnlines. Educational qualifications encompass a Master Mariner degree from Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences, Shipbroker examination from The Institute of Marketing, and a Deck Officer degree from Maritime College at Kotka.
