Sami Lundgren

Sami Lundgren has extensive experience in environmental management and sustainability, currently serving as Vice President of Responsibility and Vice President of Environment and Responsibility at UPM - The Biofore Company since November 2009. In these roles, Sami leads initiatives to enhance sustainability performance and resource efficiency, overseeing transparent reporting and effective risk management. Previous positions at UPM include Director of Ecolabels and Reporting and Director of Environmental Intelligence, where responsibilities included team leadership and coordination of corporate-level environmental topics. Sami's career at UPM began in 1999 as a Senior Environmental Analyst, focusing on global certification management. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Helsinki, alongside vocational training.
