Tuomas Sovijarvi

Tuomas Sovijarvi has extensive work experience in sourcing and procurement roles in the paper industry. Tuomas started their career as a Business Analyst in UPM Supply Management and held various roles within the company, including Sourcing Manager, Category team leader, and Director of Energy & Pulp Business Group Sourcing. Tuomas also served as VP of Raw Material Sourcing and VP of Paper Business Group Sourcing, where they were responsible for establishing consolidated sourcing and driving cost improvements. Currently, they are working as the Vice President of Sourcing for UPM Communication Papers and UPM Specialty Papers, leading global teams and focusing on sourcing performance and profitability. In addition, Sovijarvi has served as a Board Member for L.C.I. Lavorazione Carta Riciclata Italiana S.r.l., a waste management and paper trading company.

Tuomas Sovijarvi earned a Master of Science (Technology) degree in Industrial Engineering from Lappeenranta University of Technology, completing their studies from 1995 to 2004.
