Arun Das

Arun Das is an experienced professional in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and cloud systems. Arun completed internships at The Open Cloud Institute and Intel Corporation, where expertise in OpenStack services and research on Machine Learning system design were developed. In a subsequent role as an AI Graduate Intern at Intel, Arun focused on LSTM enablement for Intel accelerator chips, implementing recurrent neural network architectures. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Associate at UPMC, Arun previously held a position as a Research Fellow at The Open Cloud Institute, where a system for evaluating group emotion engagement and attention was invented and licensed to a start-up. Arun holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, as well as a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, both from The University of Texas at San Antonio, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
