Byers

Karin Byers is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in infectious diseases. Currently serving as the Professor of Medicine and Clinical Director of Infectious Diseases at UPMC since January 2001, Karin has previously held significant roles including Clinical Director of Infectious Diseases at Allegheny General Hospital from 1997 to 2001, and physician positions at the University of Virginia Health System and Temple University Hospital. Karin holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Virginia and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine, complemented by a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University.
