Chris Rutz

Chris Rutz, FHFI, is an experienced Project Manager in corporate construction, currently working with UPMC since October 2021, overseeing construction processes to ensure high-quality outcomes for user satisfaction. Previously, Chris served as the Director for the Eastern Region at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, managing infrastructure programs for various medical centers. Notable roles include Vice President of Field Operations at the U.S. Army Health Facility Planning Agency, providing executive leadership for extensive health facility projects, and Director of Supply Chain Operations at the 6th MLMC. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington and has a robust educational background in Environmental Studies and Architecture from North Dakota State University.
