Chris Standaert

Chris Standaert is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Outpatient Services at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where they also serve as the Fellowship Director for the Value-Based Fellowship in Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Chris focuses on the non-operative care of spine, musculoskeletal, and peripheral nerve disorders, and has a unique background in value-based care. They hold a Master's degree in Health Care Transformation from UT Austin and have contributed extensively to medical education, research, and health policy, including leadership roles with the Health Technology Clinical Committee in Washington State and editorial responsibilities for the journal PM&R. Prior to their current position, Chris was a Clinical Professor at the University of Washington from 2005 to 2017 and has published and spoken widely on spine care and health policy.
