Deb Lessard

Deb Lessard, JD, MA, BSN, CPHRM, FASHRM, is currently the Director of Corporate Risk Management at UPMC. With a diverse background as an independent healthcare and organizational communication consultant, they previously held vice president positions in claims and risk management at professional liability carriers. Deb has extensive experience in risk management, clinical risk management, and healthcare policy, and has served as adjunct faculty at multiple universities, teaching graduate courses in leadership and organizational communication. They are an attorney and a nurse, holding advanced degrees and certifications in healthcare risk management and organizational communication.
