Ed Horn

Ed Horn currently serves as the Associate Director for Cardiac Transplant and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for the Cardiac Transplant and Artificial Heart Program at UPMC since June 2018. In addition, Ed holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Prior experience includes serving as the PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Director and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Transplant/Cardiac Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital from September 2007 to June 2018. Ed's earlier roles include Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Surgical Intensive Care at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and completion of residency programs at UPMC and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Ed earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, completing studies in 2000, with a background in Pharmacy and Classics.
