James E. Taylor

James E. Taylor is an accomplished executive strategist and culture enthusiast who currently serves as the Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and Talent Management Officer at UPMC, where they lead diversity initiatives to reflect the rich demographics of the Pittsburgh region. Taylor earned both a doctorate and master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, and they completed undergraduate studies at Ithaca College. Previously, they held significant roles, including Senior Director of Diversity Strategy Execution at Kaiser Permanente and Chief Learning & Diversity Officer at Carolinas HealthCare System. Passionate about philanthropy and community engagement, Taylor is recognized for their contributions both within and outside of the healthcare sector.
