John Fairbaugh currently serves as the Chief Clinical Information Officer at UPMC since December 2022. Prior to this role, John was the Clinical Director of Emergency Services and Director of Clinical and Operational Informatics at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC from May 2017 to December 2022. Earlier in John's career at UPMC, from January 2002 to May 2017, experience included positions as an Informatics Nurse and Clinician in the Emergency Department, as well as serving as a Charge Nurse. Educationally, John holds a Master's degree in Nursing Informatics from Waynesburg University (2011-2013), a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from Waynesburg University (2004-2006), and completed nursing training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Shadyside School of Nursing (1999-2001).
