Jonathan Bishop

Jonathan Bishop, MD MBA FCCP serves as the Chief of Critical Care Medicine at UPMC Mercy since July 2019. Previously, from January 2014 to June 2019, Jonathan was an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section on Pulmonary and Critical Care at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Jonathan's experience in the United States Air Force from July 2008 to January 2014 included roles as Course Director for the CCATT advanced course and as Element Chief for Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine, as well as leadership positions in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and Pulmonary Clinic. Additionally, Jonathan held a position as Clinical Assistant Professor at UC Health from January 2012 to January 2014. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst and a Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, combined with a Bachelor of Science in Premedicine from Penn State University.
