Maribeth McLaughlin

Maribeth McLaughlin is the Chief Nurse Executive at UPMC, where they lead the nursing strategy and support over 22,000 nurses across a vast health care system. They are responsible for maintaining high nursing standards in 40 hospitals and more than 700 outpatient locations, while overseeing seven UPMC Schools of Nursing. With four decades of experience in nursing leadership and health care operations, Maribeth previously held roles as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Operations at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. They earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Duquesne University and a master's degree in public management from Carnegie Mellon University. Active in various professional organizations, Maribeth has chaired the American Hospital Association Maternal Child Health Council and serves on multiple boards dedicated to health care improvement and advocacy.
