Michael Carns

Michael Carns possesses extensive experience in information security, starting as an Information Security Intern at Duquesne Light Company from May 2015 to August 2016. Following this role, Michael served as an Information Security Analyst at Highmark Health from June 2017 to April 2022, where responsibilities included administering InsightVM and contributing to the Medical Device Security Program. In April 2022, Michael advanced to the position of Senior Information Security Analyst at UPMC, supporting the Vulnerability Assessment Team, Red Team activities, and security scanning. Currently, Michael serves as the Information Security Analyst Technology Lead at UPMC, a role commenced in November 2024. Academically, Michael holds a Bachelor's of Science in Cyber Forensics and Information Security from Robert Morris University, attained in 2017.
