Mutaz Amin

Mutaz Amin possesses extensive experience in the field of genetics and medicine, having served as a Gene Data Manager and Curator at Orphanet from April 2021 to June 2023 and as an Executive Committee Member of the European Reference Network for Intellectual Disabilities (ERN-ITHACA) from December 2021 to June 2023. Currently, Mutaz is a Clinical Laboratory Genetics and Genomics Fellow at UPMC and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, roles held since June 2023, alongside a position as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Prior roles include lecturer positions in Human Genetics and Medical Biochemistry at Al-Neelain University and the University of Khartoum, respectively. Mutaz's academic background includes a PhD in Human/Medical Genetics from Université Paris Diderot, an MBBS from the University of Khartoum, and a Master's degree in Molecular Medicine from the Institute of Endemic Diseases. Additionally, general practitioner experience was gained at the Ministry of Health in Sudan between September 2012 and September 2014.
