Patrick Carton currently serves as the Director of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at UPMC Ireland since August 2020 and as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at UPMC since September 2018. In addition, Patrick Carton has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Hip Surgeon at the Hip and Groin Clinic, which was established in September 2008 and later acquired by UPMC Healthcare. Educationally, Patrick Carton is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (FFSEM) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, as well as holding a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Queen's University Belfast.
