Pedram Gharani is currently the Lead Data Scientist at UPMC since May 2020. Prior to this role, Pedram served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health from August 2019 to June 2020. Pedram has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information from August 2014 to July 2019, where teaching various graduate and undergraduate level courses and as a Research Assistant focusing on context-aware visual navigation services for visually impaired individuals at the University of Iowa from August 2012 to August 2014. Pedram holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information.
