Raj Ramanan

Raj Ramanan is a physician at UPMC, where they have served as a cardiothoracic intensivist since 2017 and hold the position of medical director for ECMO. In addition to their clinical roles, Raj acts as the director of ECMO education at Procirca ECMO and is a simulation instructor and education committee chair at ELSO. They have also been a patient safety officer in the Department of Critical Care Medicine from 2018 to 2023 and are currently an assistant professor in Pitt Critical Care Medicine, with a future promotion to associate professor expected in 2025.
