Salem Alkhateeb is a PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh, where they focus on advancing magnetic resonance imaging through innovative Radio-Frequency coil design for high-field 7 Tesla MRI systems. With a solid background in bioengineering, Salem has held various roles, including Senior Bioengineer in the Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Program at UPMC since 2022, contributing to the development of life-supporting ventricular devices. Previously, they worked as a Biomedical Design Engineer at MR Medical Solutions from 2013 to 2018 and completed an internship at the Detroit Medical Center in 2013. Salem holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Hashemite University and has been a graduate student researcher at the University of Pittsburgh since 2018.
