Stephen Chan

Stephen Chan, MD, PhD, is an accomplished physician and researcher specializing in cardiovascular and pulmonary vascular medicine. Chan's academic career includes roles as Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and Professor of Medicine while serving as Director of the Vascular Medicine Institute. Current positions include Director of the Center for Pulmonary Vascular Biology and Medicine at UPMC and Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Synhale Therapeutics Inc. Chan has a strong background in clinical practice and research, evidenced by a series of fellowships and faculty appointments, as well as extensive training culminating in an MD and PhD from the University of California, San Francisco.
