Toren Finkel is a distinguished physician and scientist with extensive experience in cardiology and aging research. As a Co-Founder of Coloma Therapeutics and Chief Scientific Officer at Generian Pharmaceuticals, Finkel has contributed significantly to the biopharmaceutical field since 2019. Finkel serves as the Director of the Aging Institute at UPMC and holds the position of Professor of Medicine in the Cardiology Division at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to these roles, Finkel held several key leadership positions at the NIH Clinical Center from 2001 to 2017, including Chief of the Center for Molecular Medicine and Chief of various branches in cardiology and translational medicine. Finkel's education includes a Doctor of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biophysics from Harvard University, as well as additional training in internal medicine and cardiology at Harvard Medical School and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
