Varun Jain is a resident physician at UPMC, having started the role in June 2024. Prior to this, Varun worked as an MD/MBA Associate at CAV Angels from July 2021 to May 2024, contributing to the Healthcare Advisory Council. Varun co-founded and served as Director Emeritus for SAVE (Student Alliance for Value Education) from August 2020 to April 2024 and held the position of Interim Chief of Staff at Luminoah from May to September 2023. Varun's consulting experience includes pro-bono work at Pilleve in summer 2019 and a strategy analyst role at Triangle Insights Group, LLC from July 2018 to June 2019. Additionally, Varun gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Duke University Sherwood Lab and was involved as a global health researcher with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation during an internship at Health Advances in summer 2017. Educational qualifications include an MD from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, both completed in 2024, along with a B.S. in Biology with a focus on Cell and Developmental Biology from Duke University, earned in 2018.
